Metalworking Fluid Magazine is pleased to announce a winner to our translation contest. A team of folks at Rhenus Lub in Germany provided Metalworking Fluid Magazine with the solution to our mystery question of October, and are the winners of a free one-year subscription to our magazine! The contest question was: What does "FU" stand for in the German Language product nomenclature? It wasn't what we thought. In the portfolio of Rhenus Lub products "F" stands for the product group of amine-free coolants and "U" stands for universal. As many people suspected, the picture we posted, an honest guess, was an incorrect translation. Rhenus Lub has provided the attached picture which shows the actual product in action. Now raise your hand if you thought Germans can't have a sense of humor? Shame on you. If everybody in the business was as much fun as these guys, Ford wouldn't be switching to MQL.
