The Lubrizol Corporation announces opening of a world-class additives manufacturing facility in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. Construction on the 400,000-square-meter site began in October 2010. Besides manufacturing and blending, the facility also will be used to conduct research and testing for those additives used in engine oils, driveline fluids and various fuels.

Warning After Death of Animals Used in Metalworking Fluid Research

An inspection report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture showed that a Cincinnati metalworking fluid manufacturer was responsible for the death of 24 guinea pigs, which were restrained and partially submerged in fluid. According to the six-page inspection report dated May 16, 2013, the animals died or were euthanized during experimental testing by a Metalworking Fluid Manufacturer.
