Along with bacteria and fungi, there is one more villain who spoils Metalworking Fluids: Metal Dust accumulated in the fluid.  If it is new generation high-pressure machine with through spindle coolant, it is the most at risk.  For decades, various ways and means have been explored to get rid of these fine metal particles.  One common technique is magnetic separation.

The new SmartSkim  Micromag HP50, is specially developed for high pressure applications, and can be installed anywhere in the system and avoid damage not only to Metalworking fluid but also to seals, spindles and cutting tools by removing only metallic particles.
