The Lubrizol Corporation announces opening of a world-class additives manufacturing facility in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. Construction on the 400,000-square-meter site began in October 2010. Besides manufacturing and blending, the facility also will be used to conduct research and testing for those additives used in engine oils, driveline fluids and various fuels. The additives also will go into industrial fluids, such as those used in metalworking. By phasing in select capacity additions in China, they are aiming to respond lubricant growth in Asia and to better match their manufacturing footprint with global demand patterns.
