Measuring Concentration - Is there any other way we can do this?  You have a refractometer and you’ve read the instructions.  The truth is, if you're using it regularly and it’s not the ONLY tool in your Condition Monitoring Toolbox – you’re probably ahead of the pack.  But don’t expect that refractometer to save you when trouble starts.  You need to be educated on alternative technology for measuring concentration before trouble comes.  Learn the limitations of your refractometer, and know when you shouldn’t trust it.  Quaker has these cool Skill Builders, and this one helps us understand the several methods concentration measurement.  It's the fourth one down, under the "General Areas" heading.
