"Pay As You Go" Metalworking Fluid Distribution
The price of everything keeps going up. As an end user, I hate it when the machinists get into the coolant and start “topping off their tanks” or mixing their own batch. The results are never good. Even in a controlled environment, expensive concentrate gets wasted. One metalworking fluid supplier is out to change the game by having you only pay for the metalworking fluid concentrate that you use. The DuMETER system from DuBois is designed as a secured, locked system that lets you “Pay-as-you-go.” The object is to get the concentration right every time, control distribution, and save the end user money and headaches.
This little portable distribution system was designed and built by the Editor when managing the MWF's for Dresser Industry (now Halliburton). It had selectable tanks and pumps for pumping the concentrate or premixed solution (for topping off tanks). The nozzles were similar to those used on gas pumps and had digitl read-outs of the flow quantity so you could put the right amount in each machine. This cart is about 20 years old and still in daily operation. The Editor thanks the late George Cason - Engineer extrodinare, for helping him figure out how to keep the cart from catching on fire.
