Metalworking Fluid Mixing and the O.I.L. Concept

Even if you have best recipe, its useless if not mixed properly.  Right or wrong, you'll be eating it.  Similarly, for your metalworking fluid application, the prescribed mixing procedure must by used along with the prescribed concentration.  Emulsifiable concentrates which form oil-in-water emulsions must be mixed into the water.  Never reverse this procedure because lumps and gel can form.  In the worst case, the mixture will have to be discarded.  Always remember the word “OIL- Oil In Last.”  The technical information provided by FUCHS explains it in detail.  Don’t miss Section 7 of the article: Corrective Maintenance for Neat and Water-miscible Cutting Fluids.  It's worth reading.
