A new study by a diverse group of researchers from twelve countries found that of the human impacts stemming from climate change, the threat it poses to global water supplies may be the most severe. Published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and reported in the journal Nature, the researchers found that if global temperatures rise by an average of 2°C, up to a fifth of the global population will suffer from severe water shortages.

Group Files More Animal Mistreatment Complaints Against Cimcool
The Milford based animal research watchdog group "STOP ANIMAL EXPLOITATION NOW" is piling onto Cimcool. It might be fair to say this group never saw a research test involving animals that it approved of. Cimcool was previously warned about the Deaths of 24 guinea pigs during experimental testing. They are now the target of a new complaint alleging ongoing animal mistreatment.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has revised its Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) to clarify and simplify practical advice to help dutyholders comply with the requirements of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
Contained within an updated document, the revised guidance is aimed at management, supervisory staff, safety representatives and technical specialists (e.g. occupational hygienists, consultants etc).
