I want to know, is it nessesary to add some water to mixture of cutting fluid oil concentrate at end of the making, if we use sulfonate TEA in my formulation? If the answer is yes, what is the correlation and reaction between sulfonate and water in the mixture? what does water do in the fomulation?

Does the composition of MWFs change with storage ? Why does the shelf life of MWF is short comparing to ordinary lubricants ?

I have a couple of barrels of Blasocut 2000 from 2004 (expired in 2006) which I hate to waste - are they useful ? will it damage my equipment ?

We are loadstar(pvt)ltd., one of the largest solid tyre manufacture in the world.  We also manufacture wheels and rims.  We use CNC machines and large number of lathe and milling machines for our production process.  For this machining we use Caltex Aquatex 3180 water soluable cutting oil.  At present we want to recycle this coolent after use.  It is very important for the environment and also we can save our money.  Therefore please let me know is there any instrument to recycle coolent (water soluable cutting oil).  I am gratitude to you if you send reply to me.

Where can a find a good writeup on the theory of refractometers? I want to know how to prepare a sample to test, why I get different readings and if it measures only the water content (different oils have different refractive indices)

What is "emulsion Stability Index" (ESI)& the test method for determination of it?

I manage coolant in a factory with over 50 machines, so I was wondering when we can see the sample spread sheet for mwf management?  I am looking at way ways to keep the records with less paper as we are just starting to implement a better program of management.

Can you know any system monitoring coolants every time allowing to see all data at any time on your screen?

MWF Magazine: I enjoyed reading Dom Ruggeri's article on coolant evaluation.  It's good that you have someone who can articulate the subject matter in terms understandable to all who read it.  I only have one small comment.  I have found that many who use the shop refractometer naturally assume that the numbers are equal to percentage of concentration.  This may not be true of different brands of refractometers.  We tell our customers to mix a small measured quantity of the coolant to the concentration they intend to use then take a reading of the sample.  This is the truest yardstick for the

Hello MWF Mag I am trying to justify the purchase of an R.O. water system for the mixing of coolant for machining.  I would like some information (a case study would do nicely) on how tooling costs reduced when operating a system with pure water. 

Dear MWF Magazine, Looking for information on an electrical system that uses an electrical pulse within a coated wire to attract tramp oil within coolant systems for industrial applications. The oil would run along the wire into a waste reservoir. I recall seeing an advertisement about 5 years ago, but have no idea in which magazine and exactly how it works.  Please advise,
